NEWTON, N.J. - April 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Linda Grinthal -- owner of Sunset View Farm-- will begin a new series of organic gardening workshops beginning on Tuesday, April 21. The five class series will teach attendees how to properly manage, maintain, and succeed in growing a personal garden, as well as gain the confidence to take back personal power around food and nutrition.

Linda’s Gardening in Small Places Workshops will cover Survival Gardening; Food Forests, Strawbale and Trellis Gardening, Raised Bed, Square Foot, and Lasagna Gardening; Starting Seeds Indoors, Succession and Companion Planting; Community Gardening, Home Gardening, and the pros and cons of starting a garden at school or work. Come and welcome the Spring by learning the tools and techniques of gardening.

This weekly gardening series encourages gardening food naturally and organically using no harmful chemicals. Linda will enable individuals to properly grow food to provide all the right nutrients, how to preserve and harvest gardens throughout the winter, and how to sustain food if faced with a food emergency. Attendees will learn which methods or combination of gardening techniques will be most beneficial to their specific lifestyle.

Linda is the Board President of Sunset Vista Community Garden & Learning Center, which is a non-profit organization. Prior to bringing farming, gardening, food, nature, healthy choices and community together on her 20- acre farm, Linda was the Director of Farm Fun Day Care for 5 years. Her farm is the first National Arbor Foundation Nature Explore Classroom in New Jersey, for which it received national recognition. She has had over fifteen articles written about her farm, has appeared on NY/NJ television, has been published in Skylands Magazine, and received positive recognition in Edible Jersey. Her passion is teaching people to be prepared with the knowledge of how to grow food for survival, and inspiring in them a desire to enjoy doing just that

“Organic Gardening” is a five-class series that will be held weekly, beginning Tuesday, April 21 at 10 a.m. and ending at 11:30 a.m. An investment of $125 is required as a one-time payment for all five classes.
