HADDONFIELD, N.J. - April 7, 2015 - PRLog -- The Burlington Camden Achievement Foundation will present 27 male high school juniors and seniors to society at the Crowne Plaza in Cherry Hill, N.J. at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2015. In addition to an introduction of each participant, the evening’s program will include performances, a waltz and the awarding of scholarships.

The beautillion is the culmination of a four-month program designed to prepare high school students for college and subsequent life. As part of the beautillion program, the young men ("beaux") participated in a series of workshops on important topics, such as financial aid, fiscal responsibility, etiquette, personal branding and business life skills. To complement the workshop series, the beaux also participated in enrichment activities, including a game night, a movie night and a college basketball game. To answer questions about the beautillion and the college application process, each beau was assigned two mentors—an alumni beau (a college student or recent graduate) and a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. (a college trained, working professional).

“It is my distinct honor and pleasure to serve as chairman as we celebrate the 27 beaux in our fifth Kappa Beautillion,” stated Lloyd Freeman, Esq. “On behalf of the beautillion committee, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for these outstanding young men!” Freeman will also serve as the master of ceremonies at the event.

The accomplishments of the beaux have been recognized by the following government officials: Assemblyman Troy Singleton, New Jersey’s 7th Legislative District; the Honorable Dana L. Redd, Mayor of Camden; and the Honorable Blondell Reynolds Brown, Philadelphia Councilwoman At-Large and Majority Whip.

Ms. Antoinett Mahan, mother of 2015 Beau Jordan Wood, said, “I’m thankful for the influence of the beautillion on my eldest son, Joseph Wood. It became a family affair when my younger son joined this year’s beautillion class.”
