HOWRAH, India - April 6, 2015 - PRLog -- Asha Bhavan Centre, an NGO, recently organized two Mothers Training of Supplementary Nutrition programme on March 11 and March 18, 2015 in collaboration with AVTM, France at Kathila Head quarter premises. The programmes helped the poor and rural mothers of India understand a lot of basic things about healthy living and food habits, which they were not aware before.

Both of the programmes that were organized in collaboration with AVTM were a total success. They helped poor rural people to know about the significance of birth control, maintaining proper hygiene as well as sanitation in day-to-day living and what the procedures are in making healthy food for malnourished children. The programme also discussed about the eating habits during pregnancy and for a lactating mother.

The total number of mothers who attended the programmes were 98. Fifty mothers attended the programme, which was held on March 11 and forty-eight mothers attended on March 18, 2015. The nutrition consultant at Asha Bhavan Centre facilitated the trainings with co operation of concerned members.

The mothers seemed to be very much interested about the topics that were discussed. They got to know about a lot of things that are related to the healthy living of their child, the food habits that are to be maintained and so on. In fact, they were quite happy to get this kind of support.

Asha Bhavan Centre is non-profit institution dedicated towards the welfare, development and growth of underprivileged and disabled children and persons. It is also struggling to remove the curse of illiteracy, poverty and social inequality in the rural villages. The NGO hopes that these mothers will follow their suggestion. If followed, betterment will be the result. Life standards will be improved.
