NEW YORK - April 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Real estate entrepreneurs, investors, family offices, and crowdfunding platforms will be among 100 attendees that converge at One Financial Place, Chicago, IL on April 16th, 2015 for the conference on real estate crowdfunding dubbed "RealCap Chicago". The focus of this one-day event is to help attendees learn different ways of raising equity and debt for their projects on real estate through online platforms. Discussions will revolve around "fix and flip" complexities for  multifamily and single family homes, commercial buildings as well as ground up construction projects.

According to Chairman and Founder of  The Soho Loft Media Group, Victoria Global,  and LDJ Capital David Drake (http://thesoholoft.com/david), "High end investors including ultra-rich investors, venture capitalists, angels and institutional investors are using crowdfunding to diversify their investments. Crowdfunding has specifically opened new possibilities for investors in real estate to invest in specific properties or projects. Previously, real estate investors had to find real estate companies to invest in and agree to the broad range of activities that such companies offered. For real estate entrepreneurs, crowdfunding creates an alternative and innovative way to raise capital. Since 2012, when the Jumpstart our Business Startups Act, or JOBS Act took effect, numerous crowdfunding platforms have been set up to link investors to entrepreneurs. These platforms have made crowdfunding a reliable and credible way of financing real estate projects."

The RealCap Chicago conference agenda is fully packed with networking and learning sessions. The agenda features a keynote speech, networking breaks, panel discussion and workshops.  The event will start off with a networking breakfast before an opening introduction session. Conference attendees will then listen to a keynote speech. At mid-morning hour, conference participants are expected to participate in panel discussions. The first panel discussion will focus on crowdfunding and will explore the topic "How Crowdfunding in Real Estate Works". The second panel discussion will focus on Investors and Family Offices and will explore the topic "What Investors and Family Offices Consider when Investing".

A networking break over lunch will follow thereafter and in the afternoon, conference attendees will participate in a series of workshops. The first workshop will focus on getting funding for projects and will explore the topic, "How to get a Project Financed Online". The second workshop will explore "Publicity and Marketing Strategies that ensure Projects get Funded Fast". A third workshop on "Creating a Crowdfunding Platform" is scheduled to take place after the 4.00pm networking break. The conference will close thereafter and attendees will be treated to a cocktail hour.

Jorge Newbery, the American Homeowner Preservation Founder and CEO, says “Real estate crowdfunding has created an online marketplace with a multitude of projects for investors to browse through. Online capital raising is the future of real estate finance.”
