EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - April 2, 2015 - PRLog -- The Inventors Guild of the Poconos

“Imagination is the source of all human achievement” – Sir Ken Robinson

Andy Hrehorovich, co-founder of the Inventors Guild of the Poconos said, “If you have a great idea, don’t lose that ‘aha’ moment!” The Guild will meet on Saturday, April 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the East Stroudsburg University (ESU) Innovation Center. “We want to provide a platform for inventors and entrepreneurs to take their concepts to the next level.” The general public is encouraged to attend this free event.

Hrehorovich said, “The collective knowledge of our Guild members is tremendous.” Budding innovators can find contacts to help with business planning, designing, manufacturing, and protecting their intellectual property with patents. Inventors will have tables available at no cost to demonstrate, display and sell their inventions.

Members of the ESU Alumni Association, local PTAs and the Monroe County Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club will also be present. Light refreshments will be served.

Wall Street financial planner D. Alexis Samuels will be the keynote speaker. His presentation is entitled “Innovation: The Key to Success.” Samuels founded Brain Games Learning Systems that produces “ForeclosureOpoly,” “Prosperity Kids The Game” and “Prosperity College Trivia Challenge.”

He said, “Kids need to be exposed to tools that help them learn on a relational basis. These games are practical and keep their attention with humor and competition.”

Samuels has partnered with colleges, financial institutions, corporations and non-profits to fund educational supplies for grade schools and scholarships for trade schools and universities.

Hrehorovich and his brother Ziggy formed the Guild in November 2014.  The Guild’s mission meshes perfectly with that of the Innovation Center; each strives to foster creativity, collaboration and community. Z. Hrehorovich said the key to entrepreneurial success is “networking, networking and networking.” The Guild’s purpose is to stimulate economic development on a local level by encouraging imagination and bringing to fruition original products and services.

JT Carter of the 1950’s doo-wop group “The Crests” will perform his famous classic, “Sixteen Candles.” Carter is considered a visionary who brought together the first interracial vocal group during a time of great racial divide. He will also sing “Buckle up for Safety,” an original song he created as a public service announcement and proposed to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation for their use.

A. Hrehorovich said, “Inventions aren’t just gadgets; they can take many forms from songwriting, publishing, fashion design, game creation all the way to the better mousetrap. There’s no limit to what the human brain can conceive.”

The Guild is located at The Innovation Center, 562 Independence Road (Route 447), Suite 144, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301. For information contact Andy Hrehorovich at 570-807-9789 or (
