GUILFORD, Conn. - April 2, 2015 - PRLog -- JBF Consulting, a unique technology consulting firm focused on supply chain and logistics management, welcomes Mike Mulqueen to the firm. Mulqueen’s expertise in transportation management innovation spans 25 years, and he will now head up the new Strategy Practice unit at the Connecticut-based JBF.

Mulqueen has worked with some of the world’s largest shippers and transportation service providers during his career, and brings unparalleled expertise in global freight operation management to his new role. He has served as Senior Director of Product Management for Manhattan Associates, where he defined and prioritized the roadmap for transportation and yard management products while creating a competitive advantage for the firm’s TMS clients. Prior to that, Mulqueen worked with Accenture as the firm’s Logistics Business Area Lead for the United States Postal Service, with transportation leadership stints at Manugistics, UPS Logistics Technologies and C&S Wholesale Grocers.

“The key to Mike’s success is his passion for innovation, and he’s precisely the kind of fit that JBF was looking for,” said Brad Forester, founder of JBF Consulting. “That passion is what drives Mike’s vision for probabilistic transportation modeling, for creating well-designed, holistic logistics approaches for clients across the globe. We think Mike is a big win for JBF, and we know it is for the enterprises we serve.”

Mulqueen is the co-inventor of logistics solutions developed while at Manugistics, with patents pending on the products he developed there. He is a graduate of MIT with a Master’s in Engineering in Supply Chain Management, and received the prestigious Outstanding Thesis Award for his work, “Creating Transportation Policy in a Network that Utilizes Both Contract Carriers and an Internally Managed Fleet.” His undergraduate work was completed at University of Maryland, where he studied business and marketing. Mike is the author of many well-received articles, is frequently quoted for his industry expertise, and was recently named to the 2015 “Pros to Know” by Supply & Demand Chain Executive.

“One thing that drew me to JBF was the company’s collaborative spirit,” said Mulqueen. “This is an environment in which seasoned professionals consistently deliver superior results to clients, and spark each other to ever-improved, innovative technology solutions and their integrated application. I’m excited about the opportunity to work on tomorrow’s challenges today, and happy to join the team.”
