Bellevue Designer & Mother Endures Tragedy and Creates Bold Monogram Necklaces

BELLEVUE, Wash. - April 1, 2015 - PRLog -- Maja Arnold, Bellevue-based artist, uses her degree in typography to blend capital letters into amazing symbols that are unique and personal to each customer. Arnold turned to hand-sketching and designing monogram jewelry after she lost one of her twin babies and needed to feel her baby with her. Designing a symbol to wear in her daughter's memory near her heart assisted her to cope and heal. She wants her customers to find simimlar meaning in her jewelry. She believes that every customer has a unique story and deserves a one-of-a-kind piece.

Arnold explains, "The idea for monogram jewelry came to me when I lost one of my twins. I was wearing meaningless jewelry and wanted so desperately to find something to wear in my daughter’s memory as an assurance that she is still with me.”

To Maja and her customers, the necklaces are not just statement pieces. The symbols represent those who are special to us. Maja hand-sketches every design then cast in a digitally rendered wax mold. Customers can chose from either 1 or 2 inch sizes, sterling silver and white or yellow gold. Prices range from $375 to $3,000 and orders take approximately 3 weeks for delivery.
