Youth Explore STEM Careers and SEM Link’s 8th Annual STEM Career Fair

Science, Engineering and Mathematics Link Inc (SEM Link) through its Math and Science Career Academy hosts 8th Annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematic (STEM) Career Fair & Exhibition to expose K-12 students to STEM Careers.

ATLANTA - April 2, 2015 - PRLog -- On Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 10:00am- 2:00 pm at Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech) Science, Engineering and Mathematics Link Inc. (SEM Link) will host its 8th Annual Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Career Fair and Exhibition. This event will take place at Georgia Tech’s Molecular Science and Engineering Building (MoSE) located at 901 Atlantic Drive NW, Atlanta, GA. The Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Career Fair and Exhibition is the signature event for the Math and Science Career Academy. The annual event allows students to visit and move freely among exhibitor tables and activities.  This event is free and open to the public; however pre-registration is strongly suggested at http://semlink8thatlstemfair.eventbrite.com.

Support for the Atlanta STEM Career Fair comes from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Coca- Cola African American Technical Network and Georgia Power.  STEM professionals and graduate students from organizations such as Coca-Cola, Clorox, Georgia Tech, Southern Company among others will be there to share their passion for STEM with attendees, discuss their careers, conduct hands-on demonstrations and showcase real world applications of math and science. “STEM is a sector that is experiencing job creation and growth, a huge component of getting our students interested in pursuing these careers is engagement and exposure.” stated Tokiwa T. Smith SEM Link Founder and Executive Director. “At this event students are expose to STEM Careers and engaged in hands on STEM activities while being encouraged to pursue them by individuals that are working in various STEM disciplines”.
