You can sign up and pay at http://www.sonomanativesons.com/ Entries will be on display at the Horses, Hats and Heroes Fundraiser at the Sonoma Veterans Memorial Building, 126 First Street West, Sonoma, 6–10 pm, May 2, 2015. Those attending the fundraiser will cast their ballots for their favorite entries. Winners will be announced and awarded at the event. The proceeds of this event will benefit the heroes at the Ceres Project and local veterans. Horses, Hats and Heroes is a collaboration between the Sonoma Parlor of the Native Sons of the Golden West and American Legion Jack London Post #489. In addition to the Big Hat Contest, there will be dancing to Tommy Thomsen and his Western Swing Band, and a special guest appearance by Vox Populi. Admission to Horses, Hats and Heroes is $30 in advance, $35 at the door. Must be 21 or over to attend. Included in the price of admission: the best gumbo west of the Mississippi, dancing, games of chance, and a silent auction.
