SURREY, British Columbia - March 31, 2015 - PRLog -- Dr. Wang Offers Scholarship to Local KPU Students

(Surrey, BC)- Dr. Cheng Lun Wang of PacificWest Dental is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a local student in the Faculty of Health program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU).

This is the fourth year of Dr. Wang’s Faculty of Health Award. Through his financial gift, Dr. Wang is able to provide inspiration and financial assistance to the next generation of professionals and assist with their success. The generous support of his contribution allows students to pursue personal and professional enrichment through their studies, excel in their careers and become leaders in their community.

“I truly value our community and part of my mission is to share smiles, not only through orthodontic treatment, but in giving back and supporting our youth.  I’m honored to have the opportunity to contribute to the education of a student who is focused on improving his/her community by pursuing a career in health care,” says Dr. Wang.

In order to qualify for this award, students must possess a 3.0 GPA or higher, demonstrated involvement in community service and demonstrated financial need.

KPU offers bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, diplomas, certificates and citations at their four campuses in the Metro Vancouver region of British Columbia. Over 200 programs are developed to meet the growing needs of employment markets in the region and around the globe. Dr. Chen Lun Wang is the founder and sole-proprietor of PacificWest Dental Group in Surrey and Vancouver. He recently launched the BC Head Pain Institute to aid those suffering from pain in the head, neck and jaw. He holds a degree in Dental Surgery from the University of Western Ontario and a Masters of Science degree in Craniofacial Biology.
