Hundreds of Wine & Cheese Purveyors Come Together for Annual Tasting Event

The Philly Showcase of Wine & Cheese to benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia
 
PHILADELPHIA - March 31, 2015 - PRLog -- Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia (BGCP) are proud to announce its third annual Philly Showcase of Wine & Cheese will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. This year’s upscale tasting event will feature Andrea Bocelli’s famous Bocelli Family Wines as its Presenting Winemaker as well as BelGioioso Cheese as the Presenting Cheesemaker. Guests will also enjoy decadent tastings by hundreds of wine, liquor and specialty food purveyors, including: Cappuccio’s Meats, Conshohocken Italian Bakery, Passanante’s Home Food Services, Posh Pop Bakeshop, Procacci Brothers, Sweet Pea Ice Cream, Tubby Olive, Vesper Brothers, an assortment of Reading Terminal Market favorites and so much more. Live entertainment by Anthony Piranio, also known as “Little Bocelli,” will set the mood for this delicious Italian evening with the classic sounds of Andrea Bocelli, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and many more.

“Our Showcase has gotten bigger and better each year,” exclaimed Lisabeth Marziello, CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia. “We are looking forward to hosting 3,000 guests for a fun, upscale evening with the best wine and food purveyors from the Philadelphia area. There is no other event in our region where guests can sample so many delicacies in one night!”

Tickets for The Philly Showcase of Wine & Cheese are $50 in advance ($55 at the door), and can be purchased online from the BGCP website (www.bgcphila.org/pswc) or by phone 215-735-8818.

All proceeds benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia; enabling all young people, especially those who need it most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
