Win, Rock & Rule is an annual event and attendees had access to network with women that have broken barriers that were never obtained, they are the F.O.’s (FIRST and/or ONLY) in their positions. Dee Marshall kicked off the conference with encouraging women to Win, Rock, Rule their lives. Women raved about her “future you” exercise. Participants selected ribbons with business titles that depict their future selves; this included titles of Judge, Educator, Senior Vice President and more. The first panel discussion was moderated by Michellene Davis, Esq., Executive Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Barnabas Health. Among her many F.O.’s she is the first Woman and the first African American to hold the position at Barnabas Health. The Honorable Dana Redd, Mayor of Camden New Jersey spoke about her role as Mayor of Camden. This was followed by the most talked about panel discussion with: Barnabas Health VP of Healthy Living & Community Engagement, Barbara Mintz, Regional Administrator, U.S. Small Business Administrator, Kellie LeDet, Financial Professional, The Prudential Insurance Company of America, Maddie S. Brooks, Fitness Expert, Get Fit with Nik, Nikki Kimbrough, Financial Educator & Best Selling Author, Tiffany “The Budgetnista” The Honorable Judge Victoria Pratt received the Trailblazer Award for being the First Dominican Judge in the City of Newark, NJ. Toya Beasley received the Game Changer Award, she is one of New York;s top radio personalities and founder/CEO of SistaFriendzTM a Nonprofit Organization established to educate, equip and empower women for success in their personal and professional lives. Fatima Scipio the CEO of Young Enterprising Sisters (YES) an entrepreneurial program for girls ages 8-17 that educates, empowers and energizes the next generation of business owners/entrepreneurs, she was acknowledged as a Power Player for her work with young girls..
