Confluent Translations Now Supporting Duquesne University's IMPACT Project

PITTSBURGH - March 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Confluent Translations is translating Columbian trade leads and posting them on their webpage to help aid in IMPACT’s mission to increase exports and create jobs with focus on construction equipment and building materials industries and the Pacific Alliance countries.

Duquesne University will receive $300,000 from the MDCP grant, which will be matched with an investment of $658,000 from other resources, to help the construction equipment and building materials industries generate exports to Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Peru. Activities that will be ongoing include: translating U.S. companies’ sales materials; hosting foreign buyers at U.S. events; and helping firms secure financing to execute their export strategies.

“Information is received from Duquesne University’s partner in Columbia and then translated within 24 hours to make available in English these possible matches of services and export opportunities to U.S. construction and building industries”, commented Charlene Nagy, president and CEO of Confluent. “We do not want language to be a barrier or a deciding factor not to do business within these Spanish speaking counties.”

The project is expected to generate an estimated $107 million in exports during the next three years by U.S. companies. These four countries haves Free Trade Agreements with the U.S. which have greatly reduce tariffs and streamline regulations.
