Delaware Week for the Animals celebration is coming April 18-26, 2015!

WILMINGTON, Del. - March 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Animal World USA is pleased to announce that Governor Jack Markell has officially proclaimed 8th Annual Delaware Week for the Animals April 18-26, 2015. The week will be bringing together educators, animal shelters, humane organizations, sanctuaries, businesses, students, community leaders, decision makers and caring citizens in an action-packed, compassionate week of inspiring activities for the animals!

Events that are happening statewide will include fun-filled pet adoption fairs, lowcost spay/neuter events, shelter adoption days, 5K's, programs in libraries, youth activities, visits with the sanctuary animals, pet food donations, horse benefits, low cost vaccinations, school activities, bird workshop events, field trips, a salute to the military/working K-9's, volunteer orientations, therapy dogs visiting hospitals/living-assisted homes and more!  Exciting Earth Day events will also be taking place during the week underscoring the need to protect our planet.

Also to be included are shelter dog/feline fundraisers, special programs at the wildlife centers, and fun-filled festival days for families to come and enjoy food, music and the amazing animals! Delaware Week for the Animals is a celebration of exciting, community-building activities.
