Vanbreed Studios Presents Texas Comic Fest to Benefit the Boys & Girls Club of North Central Texas

Vanbreed Studios Assembles an All-Star Team of Creators and Celebrities for a Charity Event Benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of North Central Texas.
LEWISVILLE, Texas - March 29, 2015 - PRLog -- Vanbreed Studios has teamed up with some of the top talent in the comic book and entertainment industry to launch an all-day charity event, Texas Comic Fest.  Ten dollars from each general admission ticket will go directly to the Boys & Girls Club of North Central Texas.

Texas Comic Fest will be held on June 13, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the Premier Event Center in Lewisville Texas.  The Premier Event Center is a 30,000 square foot convention center located at 1165 South Stemmons Freeway, Lewisville, TX 75067.

The event is described as a one-day celebration of comic books and pop culture in North Texas. So what would a celebration be without guests of honor? Attending the event are Ron Marz (writer, DC Comics Green Lantern, Image Comic Witchblade), Rick Leonardi (artist, Marvel Comics X-Men, Spider-man), Darryl Banks (artist, DC Comics Green Lantern), Mat Nastos (writer, artist Disney’s Phineas & Ferb), Thomas Zahler (My Little Pony) and Paul Maybury (Image Comics Valhalla Mad).

Additional entertainment guests include Emilio Rivera (actor, Sons of Anarchy), Mo McRae (actor, Son of Anarchy), Kristen Renton (actress, Sons of Anarchy), Jason Faunt (actor, Power Rangers Time Force), Erin Cahill (actress, Power Rangers Time Force), Santiago Cirilo (actor, AMC’s The Walking Dead), Michelle Helmeczy (actress, AMC’s The Walking Dead), Michael Koske (actor, AMC’s The Walking Dead), Moses J. Mosely (actor, AMC’s The Walking Dead) and Theshay West (actor, AMC’s The Walking Dead).

One of the highlights of the show, David Hedgecock, Managing Editor for IDW Publishing, will be doing professional artists portfolio reviews at Texas Comic Fest. This is a unique opportunity for local artists to learn from one of the decision makers at a large comic publishing company. IDW Publishing prints such titles as Skylanders, Star Trek, X-Files, Planet of the Apes, Godzilla, Thirty Days of Night and many more.

In addition to signing autographs and meeting fans, the attending celebrities will be participating in fan Q&A sessions as well as a celebrity trivia game called Tag Team Trivia Turmoil.
