Fiero Flair Announces 2nd Annual Girl Power: Women Working in the Music Industry Conference

SAN FRANCISCO - March 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Back by popular demand is the Fiero Flair produced music conference, Girl Power: Women Working in the Music Industry. Scheduled for May 30th, 2015 in San Francisco, CA.

Founded in 2013 by Kerry and Gian Fiero, adjunct professors in San Francisco State University's Music/Recording Industry Program, Girl Power fills the void created by male-dominated music industry conferences that fail to address the specific needs and challenges of women who work, or desire to work in all aspects of the music industry.

Women have to think differently in their approach and strategy to career success. This informative seminar, composed of female panelists from different backgrounds and areas of the industry, will spark this thinking.

"We are really excited to present a conference that we feel can provide solutions to the gender specific issues that we women deal with in our day-to-day music business activities and interactions," says Kerry Fiero. "Our first conference proved that there is not only a need for Girl Power, but also an appreciation for the wealth of resources that a small, but niche oriented conference can offer to like-minded women who share the same drive to succeed. Last year's attendees walked away inspired, better connected, and better prepared to go after their careers with more confidence."

Girl Power is rapidly becoming an epicenter for empowering women with the education, resources, and networking opportunities that are keys to establishing, developing, and advancing professional careers in music.

"Kerry and I have over two decades of experience in producing educational events, networking mixers, seminars, workshops, and now conferences," says Gian Fiero. "Our goal is not to have the biggest, most popular conference in the music industry, but rather to produce a highly effective event that truly empowers women who work, or desire to work in the industry, with valuable tools with which they can build their work and career achievements."
