Colorado Cleantech Industries Association Announces a Call for Applications for Cleantech Demo Day

GOLDEN, Colo. - March 26, 2015 - PRLog -- The Colorado Cleantech Industries Association (CCIA) announces a call for applications for the inaugural Cleantech Demo Day, a technology solutions showcase in Denver on May 20, 2015.

As part of an ongoing effort to bring visibility and recognition to early-stage cleantech companies, CCIA is hosting Cleantech Demo Day on May 20, 2015.  The cleantech market continues to transform global industries and Cleantech Demo Day will spotlight the most unique, leading companies in the space. Applications will be accepted until April 20 from companies interested in presenting to leaders in Colorado’s cleantech investment community. According to the Cleantech Group, Colorado ranks 4^th in the nation for cleantech investment.

“At the Colorado Impact Fund, we believe that the private sector plays an important role in promoting healthy, educated and vibrant communities,” said Ryan Kirkpatrick, partner at the Colorado Impact Fund. “The Colorado Impact Fund provides capital for entrepreneurship where community impact is valued alongside financial returns.  Cleantech Demo Day hits a sweet spot for us because it gives us the chance to hear from companies that are supporting the efficient use of energy, water and other finite natural resources.”

A national call for clean technology products and services has been initiated and applications will be accepted until April 20, 2015.  Interested cleantech companies will enter a competitive vetting process, after which 8-10 companies will be invited to present their technologies to the investor panel.  Through Demo Day, CCIA is working with early stage investors who are experts in the cleantech and advanced energy space.  An industry luminary will introduce each company.
