Follow on Google News | PARC and Local Top Chefs Team Up to Kick-off New Culinary ProgramBy: PARC The Friday Night Party will be held at the Tent at the Bayou Club and feature top Bay Area restaurant Chefs serving their signature dishes. Each Chef will be paired with a PARC culinary student to provide a real food industry experience. The evening will include music, food and drink, and live and silent auction and begins at 7:00PM with Jenn Holloway of Media General emceeing the evening. Tickets are $100 per person and a limited number of sponsorships are still available. Distinguished Chefs from the Bay Area are excited to be a part of this first-ever PARC Top Chefs event to celebrate PARC’s new culinary program. The organization has transformed an inactive commercial kitchen into a culinary teaching facility that serves to train, certify and ready workers with intellectual and developmental disabilities for competitive job placement in Florida’s thriving culinary and hospitality industry. Proceeds from the Golf Tournament Weekend Event will support this new initiative and help PARC create a sustainable culinary teaching program that will serve to increase the choices for meaningful employment training as well as enhance self-sufficiency for the individuals they serve. Participating restaurants include The Birchwood – Birch and Vine, Guppy’s, Sea Salt, Eddie V’s Prime Seafood and Middle Ground Grills. The Golf Tournament will begin with a shotgun start on Saturday, May 2nd at 1:00pm at the Bayou Club. Tickets include day of golf and will be followed by a family friendly Kentucky Derby themed BBQ. Festive dress and Derby hats are encouraged! Sponsorships start at $1,000 for a golf foursome and include tickets to the Friday Night Top Chefs Party.
