“If the tongue of a human being is busy in muttering prayers, but his mind is surrounded by evil thoughts, it is of no use. If our mind is concentrated towards muttering prayer, we shall slowly & steadily get rid of our  evil thoughts. Our heart shall become pure & with a pure heart,  we shall gain new heights.”

Saint Farid was an ascetic (especially muslim) Faqir of high quality. Once, during his childhood, he saw his mother praying. He asked her that what do we get by divine worship. His mother replied 'God is very compassionate. One, who worship God faithfully, is loved by him, dearly. Every desire of his, is fulfilled. On hearing the words of his mother, Farid also started devine worship regularly. He started loving each and everyone. Whenever, he saw any disabled child on the road, he used to help the child in crossing the road. He used to experience internal happiness, whenever he fed the birds. In some years, he became very popular as an ascetic (a muslim) Faqir. After his return from Haj (pilgrimage to Mecca) Baba Farid started moving to the villages of Punjab, spreading the message of love and compassion. One day, he reached Hasi village of Haryana state for proclamations of love and compassion. A villager, namely Beeru Singh asked him “Baba (affectionate term of address) I don't get time from my worldly affairs. What should I do to make my life fruitful? Baba Farid replied 'always earn your livelihood in a well intentioned manner and upbring your family, but always maintain love with the 'Almighty'. Baba Farid further added 'One, who always speak truth, who never disrespect others and who always remember God, becomes entitled for Paradise. No other quality is as great as truth, love, compassion and service. The 'Almighty' makes the followers of these qualities as own. Later, Baba Farid was counted among the most renowned Saints.

'Ritasya Pantha Na Taranti Dushkrat' means the person engaged in wrongful or unlawful acts, cannot cross the path of Truth. According to Rigveda, it is very much needed for a person moving on the path of truth, to speak truth and to execute virtuous demeanor. ' Nasti Satyatu Parodharma' means no religion is as supreme as truth. Manu has rightly said that statement uttered by us shall have a fruitful meaning only when our Karma is in accordance with our voice. If a devotee talks about religious devotion and always busy in muttering prayers, but not performing virtuous demeanor, cannot be treated as a devotee, If the tongue of a human being is busy in muttering prayers, but his mind is surrounded by evil thoughts, it is of no use. If our mind is concentrated towards muttering prayer, we shall slowly & steadily get rid of our evil thoughts. Our heart shall become pure and with a pure heart, we shall gain new heights. We shall feel the presence of the 'Almighty' everywhere. We shall feel the touch of supreme spirit in every living creature and move forward to work for their welfare.

         When a person develops the same form of mind, words & deeds, he starts moving towards divineness power. He, then starts talking above the welfare of others. If our speech is pure, it is inevitable for mind and deeds to be pure. 'Survbhavan tu Sukhina Serve Santu Niramaya Sarve Bhadrani Pashyanti Ma Kashidcha Dukh Bhaybhaved' the world is ascetic & descended land. Our deeds & thoughts must be virtuous.
