iGlobal LLC Presents State-of-the-Art Tech Equipment at Mid-America Trucking Show

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - March 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Representatives from iGlobal LLC are presenting their state-of-the-art in-cab scanning equipment March 26 - 28 at the Mid-America Trucking Show.

Drivers scan business critical documents (Bill of Lading, Delivery Receipts, Fuel Receipts, etc.) sot that invoicing can be done in seconds and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) can be significantly reduced. In addition, payroll, owner operator settlements, and document retrieval are simplified.

The interactive MDT is a rugged, easy-to-use onboard computer that mounts in tractor cabs. The MDTs employ high-speed document scanning, Global Positioning Systems, Voice-Over IP communications, electronic dispatch capabilities, and engine monitoring, which enable the real-time transfer of information promptly and efficiently.

iGlobal LLC president Eric Bauer lauded the technology, saying it has the potential to revolutionize the trucking industry. He pointed to several individual features as key to the equipment’s efficiency.

“One of the main features of the EDGE MDT is its ability to scan at a very fast rate,” Bauer said. “When the driver makes a delivery, or makes a pickup, before they leave the customer’s site, they take their signed document and they scan it immediately before they even pull away from the dock.

“The system is fully automatic. The driver simply puts the paper in, it pulls through and it displays a thumbnail for the driver to see.”

R+L Carriers, one of the nation’s largest LTL fleets, has employed iGlobal LLC’s technologies in the form of onboard computing and in-cab scanning solutions (EDGE MDT) in its 5,500-truck fleet. Complete implementation is expected by this summer.
