Zampell Completes Refractory Installation at Louisiana Pellet Mill

BEAUMONT, Texas - March 24, 2015 - PRLog -- Zampell Companies - Despite the monsoons of August in Louisiana, Zampell persevered and completed a major new construction project at a new pellet production facility in Louisiana.  Pellets are a key source of biomass energy in the European marketplace as there is a unified goal to minimize fossil fuel usage.  By using pellets instead of fossil fuels, European power producers are able to still utilize major assets by doing conversion projects from something like coal to wood pellets.  This sort of forward thinking is moving each European country closer and closer to every nation’s end goal – energy independence.

This particular project for Zampell will be one of the largest producers in the USA.  As a credit to Zampell, the company had zero OSHA recordable injuries and zero OSHA lost time injuries on this project.  With everything that Zampell does, the most important measurement is that the jobs are done safely.  On top of that, Zampell installed eight hundred and fifteen tons of refractories on this project as well, making it one of the bigger projects that Zampell has ever tackled.

The crew was pleased to finish the job as well due to the challenges from weather.  When asked about the site conditions, the project manager said with a chuckle, “Mud, mud, and more mud.”  For one particular stretch, the crew reflected that it must have rained for two months straight.  Again, despite these challenges, Zampell persevered and got the job done.
