Follow on Google News | Linda's Stuff Announces Major Warehouse ExpansionOnline Luxury Consignment Leader Expands To 93,000 Sq. Feet of Warehouse Space to Meet Rapid Growth Demands
By: Linda's Stuff The added space will allow for expansion in a number of key departments including photography, authentication, shipping and receiving. Linda’s Stuff currently employs 110 people, including 25 full time staff photographers, 12 certified authenticators, 40 listing experts and ships an average of 40,000 packages monthly. “Luxury consignment has become the most dynamic, robust category in online shopping. As a result, we’re experiencing a huge period of growth and bursting at the seams in nearly every department,” A portion of the new space will be used to accommodate an influx of brand new inventory that is the result of several new retail partnerships. “Traditionally, people think of consignment as the selling of previously owned goods but that’s changing. We are working in tandem with several top tier retailers as their go-to resource for selling overstock, which is driving a lot of our business’ growth,” adds Linda’s Stuff President and CFO Fred Lightman. Linda Lightman initially started the business in her Philadelphia area home where it began in one room and over the first five years spread to every single room of their house. In 2006, Lightman moved the business to its first office, which was just 5,000 sq. ft. The business quickly grew and soon moved to a 12,000 sq. ft. space. Then again just two years later, moved to a 24,000 sq. ft. space before relocating in February of 2014 to its current 72,000 sq. ft. warehouse space in Hatboro, PA. The additional 21,000 sq. ft. is adjacent to the company’s current space, which will allow for a seamless expansion.
