New Website Shines Spotlight on Super Stars and Places of Eastern Panhandle

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - March 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Everyone needs a pat on the shoulder every now and again, and a new website has been launched to do just that.

The website, PanhandleProud.org, recognizes local people, places and organizations that are adding value to the Eastern Panhandle community and its residents.  Individuals can nominate family members, friends, organizations or places in Panhandle by submitting a 500 word story along with a high resolution photo of their subject. Some of the categories for submission are: Terrific Teams, Unsung Heroes, High Achievers, Positive Places and Awesome Organizations. Submitted entries will be shared through Panhandle Proud's local media network including its website, subscribers, social media and quarterly print publication.

Panhandle Proud is an initiative of Devin Dozier who is also the founder of UliveWV.org. UliveWV.org is a local freelance company that uses only local residents to complete work. If a person would like to nominate someone to be recognized through Panhandle Proud, and would like to leave the task of writing a well thought out story about the person to someone else, ULiveWV.org will hire a local freelance writer to do the job for them. This applies to photography as well. ULiveWV.org can hire a local freelance photographer to go and capture a great photo of the nominee.

Devin has been a proud resident of the Panhandle for his entire life. His vision is to create projects that inspire community growth and participation. Panhandle Proud is his latest project and certainly won't be his last. He is excited about the launch of the website and the impact that it will have on the community.

When asked what inspired the Panhandle Proud concept, he commented: "People are rarely acknowledged for their positive achievements and actions.  I wanted to create a platform that would highlight such individuals. It is hoped that this showcase will encourage the individuals and organizations that are featured and possibly inspire others to do the same- making a light shine even brighter."

Apart from recognizing the super stars and landmarks of Panhandle, Panhandle Proud also helps ULiveWV.org attract more job opportunities for local resident freelancers.
