Heritage Lottery Fund gives thumbs up for student project at St.Agnes Holy Well, Cothelstone
You are invited to a photo call and to celebrate the launch at St.Agnes Holy Well, Cothelstone, to announce a Heritage Lottery Fund grant of £8,700 for promotion of the heritage and restoration of the surrounding area of the well in partnership

Debbie McKenna of Community Life Design who will manage the project said, “we are excited to have this opportunity to broaden the scope of the students’ involvement, they have been maintaining the site for the past four years so it is wonderful to be able to reward them with such a great project, and with the app this ensures many more people will be able to learn about this valuable heritage for years to come.” More information on the project can be found on the Facebook page ‘Well Obsessed’.

Directions to the photo call are as follows: The well lies within the Cothelstone Estate and by the side of Cothelstone road, the national grid reference is ST 18403 31852. From Bishops Lydeard follow the road to Cothelstone and as you start to climb the hill there is a signpost to the footpath on the left. This will be clearly signposted for the days purposes.
