Follow on Google News | New Novel Follows Hitchcock's "The Birds"In 1964, Hitchcock released "The Birds". Now more than 50 years later, author Joe Moore finally explains how and why it happened in "Return of the Birds".
But there are many similarities. And while Sir Alfred never explained the cause or even finished the effort, nonetheless it feels the same in many ways. This is the premise for Return of the Birds, by Joe Moore. His story takes place more than 50 years after the release of the famous movie “The Birds”. New characters, new species, new location, and this time some answers as to what caused the onslaught, and whether there is a chance to stop it. Moore's fourth novel is a complete departure from his previous happy and safe Santa Claus Trilogy. “Everyone has a dark side to them,” said author Joe Moore, “This book was actually meant to be my second, as Hitchcock's movie had such a profound impact on me. It got pushed off as I felt I needed to finish the stories in the North Pole first.” Still published by the North Pole Press, this is a departure for them as well. In an official statement by them, “We support our author not just a genre, we feel that the more well rounded a writer he is, the more well rounded a publisher we are.” Released at the Tucson Festival of Books this last week, the new book received a great deal of attention and many instant readers. One new fan commented, “With such a great premise, and a cover that really grabs you, how could I resist? Plus I always wondered what happened.” Joe Moore has penned this third entirely separate genre entering the thriller/horror/ The new novel is available in both eBook and softcover through online retailers and through The North Pole Press at http://thenorthpolepress.com. Moore said, “I am hoping this leaves my readers with as big an impact as Sir Alfred Hitchcock left on me.” End
