Teachers of the Year Announced

The 21st Annual Encino Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year Awards will take place on March 26th. Eighteen teachers from the Encino and surrounding area will be recognized by the local business community.
 
ENCINO, Calif. - March 19, 2015 - PRLog -- The 21st Annual Encino Chamber of Commerce Teacher of the Year Awards, presented by Gelb Group, will take place on March 26th. The event is organized by the Encino Chamber of Commerce to provide the business community an opportunity to recognize teaches from the Encino and surrounding area schools.

"This event honors our community’s teachers. Through donations from our members and the community we give each of the nominated teachers a rolling cart filled with school supplies and items that the teacher can use either in their personal life or back in the classroom.", said Diana Duenas, CEO of the Encino Chamber of Commerce.

Businesses, members of the chamber, or not, are encouraged to donate items useful in the classroom. Many of the items donated, and needed, are not provided by the district. These items include:

copy paper * tape * pens * pencils * markers * rulers * Wipe & Write board markers * writable cd’s or dvd’s * calculators * hand sanitizer * soap * Clorox wipes * folders * flash drives * digital cameras * video cameras * colored paper *
crayons * construction paper

The public is also encouraged to attend the event, which will be held at the Woodland Hills Hilton on March 26th at 5pm.
