Second ever ICEF Mexico – Colombia Roadshow sees 21% growth in 2015

The 2015 ICEF Mexico – Colombia Agent Roadshow (Mar 10 – 13) was a fantastic event, growing overall by 21%. The biggest sector growth was seen in the number of educators at the event, which increased by 62%.

March 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Held in Mexico City and Bogotá, the roadshow hosted 292 participants from 15 countries. “I was able to meet so many institutions in one day! This would be impossible any other way! I am sure my time was well-invested and my agency will be placing more students thanks to this event” said Jesus Vela-Alvizu from Universitas Travel & Study in Mexico.

Agent Roadshows provide institutions with the opportunity to take part in two one-day events. This enables a larger number of quality agents, who otherwise may not be able to attend an ICEF Workshop, to meet with international schools focussed on student recruitment in their countries.

Overall, participants were very satisfied with the event, 98% rating it as Good or Excellent (Excellent 74%, Good 24%). Canadian educator, Gloria Guevara of Camosun College International said: “The Mexico - Colombia Roadshow was a fantastic event! I feel that it has fast-tracked both our international branding and agent relations!”

In Mexico City, educators and service providers met with 87 agents from 65 Mexican agencies. After a successful day of meetings, participants enjoyed Mexican cuisine and live mariachi music. In addition, participants also had the option of joining a tour to some of the city’s most famous sights, including the pyramid at Teotihuacan before travelling to Bogotá.

In Colombia, 99 agents, representing 74 agencies attended the event. The agents were particularly happy with the opportunities the roadshow provided, “There were even more high-quality educators this year - that deserves a big round of applause!” said agent Carolina Martinez of Global Education Access - GEA.

The next ICEF event is the Moscow Workshop (March 27 – 29). Taking place at the Ritz-Carlton Moscow, this event brings together international educators, service providers and agents from Russia, Eastern Europe, the Balkan States, Central Asia and the Caucasus.
