Guilford County PAGE Named 2015 PAGE Chapter of the Year by North Carolina Gifted Association

GREENSBORO, N.C. - March 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Guilford County PAGE (Partners for the Advancement of Gifted Education) (http://www.guilfordcountypage.org) announces it has been named the 2015 PAGE Chapter of the Year by the North Carolina Association for the Gifted and Talented (NCAGT). The award was presented to Guilford County PAGE board members during NCAGT’s 41^st Annual Conference in Winston Salem, N.C.

Guilford County PAGE, which has the highest chapter membership in the state, was recognized by NCAGT’s board for its Forward Matters e-newsletter, webinar programming, and for achieving 501 (c)(3) non-profit status within 18 months of inception. The organization’s upcoming free webinar planned for March 26, 2015 (12 – 1 p.m. EDT) and March 29, 2015 (2 – 3 p.m. EDT) will address the 10 key steps in searching for the right college.

“Since formally re-chartering our Guilford County PAGE chapter in September 2013, we are thrilled to have had such amazing support – from parents, educators, community organizations and corporations – for our mission to advance gifted education in Guilford County and beyond,” said Holly Stewart, president of Guilford County PAGE. “We look forward to continuing to develop impactful resources, programs, and partnerships to benefit K-12 gifted students in Guilford County’s public, private, charter and home schools.”

Through April 15, 2015, those who join Guilford County PAGE will enjoy membership (and access to members-only programming) through the 2015 – 2016 academic year. Membership is $15 for families and $5 for educators.
