At 24, he was initiated into the pursuit of Brahmavidya by Baba Gangadhara Paramahamsa (Swami Bhoomanandaji's Gurudev) of Dakshinkhanda, West Bengal, India. Right from the beginning, Scientific Quest and Spiritual Pursuit have been complementary in his search for the Ultimate Reality. A PhD in Physics, he was a scientist and assistant professor in Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. In 1987, he renounced his professional life, and dedicated himself wholesomely to spiritual pursuit & societal welfare under the guidance of Poojya Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha. Swami Nirviseshananda Tirtha explains the subtle truths of the Upanishads and the Bhagavadgeeta in a rational but profound and traditional manner. His exposition, coming from deep experiential knowledge of spiritual saadhana, has helped people to apply spirituality in all life-situations. Comprehensive understanding, striving for perfection, gentle humour and universal love evinced by Swamiji, are a source of inspiration and guidance for all seekers.
