IT Supplies Announces Student Photo Contest, at Society of Photographic Education (SPE) Event

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. - March 12, 2015 - PRLog -- With a focus on the photography student, the annual IT Supplies Photo Contest will be announced at the SPE National Conference in New Orleans. This year, the contest encourages a ‘twist’ on the ordinary image or style encouraging unusual staging, lighting, pre- or post-processing techniques in which to create eye-catching and extraordinary compositions.

“As a long-time supporter and exhibitor at SPE, we are embracing this relationship and giving the student population a chance to participate in a fun contest with some cool prizes and really great exposure for their work,” states Nick Mejia, contest organizer. “The winning entry earns the cover position on our 2016 calendar.”

The contest will launch at the SPE event, and entries will be accepted from April 1- July 31, 2015. IT Supplies has been organizing an annual photo contest since 2012, which parlays into a high-quality, full-size printed calendar that recognizes participants, sponsors, industry events and education. Epson had been a premium sponsor of the calendar since project inception.

The Society for Photographic Education is a nonprofit membership organization that provides and fosters an understanding of photography as a means of diverse creative expression, cultural insight, and experimental practice.
