SAN FRANCISCO - March 11, 2015 - PRLog -- The ISOS Center for Social Responsibility (ISOS CSR), the training arm of ISOS Group, will host the next ISOS CSR Institute Thursday-Saturday, March 26-28, 2015 at the Presidio Graduate School in San Francisco, California.

Sustainability and corporate responsibility practitioners looking to enhance their leadership effectiveness along with educators and students seeking to deepen their knowledge base will participate in the three-day training, knowledge sharing, and peer-to-peer community building intensive. The ISOS CSR Institute delivers a packed, one-stop program of education and instruction, certification, and intelligence sharing. It is designed to equip participants with the latest knowledge they require for leading their organizations through the rapidly evolving universe of sustainability reporting standards and corporate responsibility (CR) practices.

In addition to the knowledge content and training, Institute participants will earn certificates of completion in the key areas of GRI, CDP, and Materiality disclosure requirements. They will hear about the latest communications techniques, technology-based tools, and industry developments from guest experts.

The schedule is flexible to accommodate travel and business commitments. Participants may register for one or two days, or enroll in the entire three-day program at a team discount: Day One and Two will focus on certified training in the new Global Reporting Institute G4 framework – plus a deep dive into The Natural Step (TNS), a powerful tool for materiality assessments and decision making. Day Three will offer certified training in CDP (formally known as the Carbon Disclosure Project) disclosure techniques.

Featured instructors include Jennifer Roney, Ph.D., director of ISOS CSR and faculty member of Bainbridge Graduate Institute; Nancy Mancilla, M.P.S./M.A., co-founder of ISOS Group and ISOS CSR; and Jeff Leinaweaver, Ph.D., principal of Global Zen Sustainability and a trainer in The Natural Step.

Executives from three organizations that have demonstrated leadership in the implementation of CR practice for strategic value creation will offer their insights on the latest approaches. Brandon Tidwell, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at California Blue Cross and formerly with Darden Restaurants, will share his real world successes leveraging CSR reporting as a competitive advantage for Darden. Tyler Wagner of Think Parallax will discuss some of their research on the implications of effective reporting as well as best practices for producing winning reports and roll-out communications programs. Sondra Tosky of Measurabl will introduce their software solution that helps companies collect, report, and improve upon sustainability metrics.

Jeff Leinaweaver, trainer for The Natural Step, notes: “With the ISOS CSR Institute, participants will walk away with more tools that they can apply in a variety of situations. They will acquire a greater understanding of the difference between a transparency versus strategic framework for sustainability as well as a science-based way of talking that will better equip them for stakeholder dialogues without being off-putting. And they’ll engage their minds and hearts in expansive ways. This process calls for the mind of a capitalist but the heart of a social worker all in one place.”

Registration is now open, participation is limited. For more information on the program, schedule and fee options, contact ISOS directly at 619.246.1122; info@ISOSgroup.com.
