Sharon Kan, Co-Founder of WIN Lab to Speak at Exit Planning Exchange (XPX) 2015 Summit

BOSTON - March 11, 2015 - PRLog -- The Exit Planning Exchange (XPX) Boston announces that Sharon Kan, co-founder of WIN (Women Innovating Now) Lab will be a featured panelist at the XPX Boston annual Summit on March 19th, 2015 at The Conference Center at Waltham Woods.

“The Progression of Succession” is the theme of the 2015 Summit. Well known advisors and owners, such as Kan, will share their practical knowledge and experience on preparing for and successfully executing business succession. Kan will participate in a panel discussion focused on “Exit Strategies and Options You Should Consider.”  Other topics in this year’s Summit include growth capital, ESOP’s, internal ownership transition, management and leadership succession and sale. The Summit will run from 8:00 AM-4:00 PM with a reception afterwards.

An accomplished entrepreneur and executive, Kan has been instrumental in developing and leading companies from inception to successful acquisition, including Tikatok which was sold to Barnes & Noble, Zoomix, acquired by Microsoft and Demantra, acquired by Oracle.

In addition to being its co-founder, Kan is also the chief visionary of the WIN Lab, a year-long residency program offered at Babson College for women entrepreneurs.

Kan is an advisor and mentor to multiple start-up companies in the ed-tech and social enterprise industries.  She is an advisory board member of the Entrepreneurship Program at Simmons College of Management and a mentor at both LearnLaunchX and MassChallenge Accelerators.  Moreover, she presently serves as Chairwoman of Advisory Board Orora Global, a social enterprise that provides access to reliable renewable energy to rural and urban communities across the world.

She graduated from the College of Management in Israel with a B. A. in Administration, received an Executive MBA from the University of Bradford in the United Kingdom and has completed coursework in French Culture at Sorbonne University in France.

In addition to featured speakers, the summit will include panelists and a fireside chat.  The highly interactive format will allow business owners and advisors to share personal lessons learned, tips and tricks, and stories regarding the requirements for successful management transition and exit.

Terry Phinney, Principal at Blackstone Management and Consulting, is the chair of the 2015 Summit.
