AHHA Summer Arts Academy accepting early applications

TULSA, Okla. - March 10, 2015 - PRLog -- The Arts & Humanities Council of Tulsa’s Summer Arts Academy is now accepting early applications for 2015 enrollment. Applications received by April 19, 2015 receive a discounted tuition rate of $200, down from the regular rate of $250.  Designed for middle school-aged students, the Summer Arts Academy offers the opportunity to develop focused skills in the visual arts while having an unforgettable summer experience.

One-week classes will provide a creative and innovative stepping stone for artistically inclined Oklahoma middle school students in the following disciplines: painting, drawing, digital and traditional photography, film / video, printmaking, sculpture and woodworking.  Students will learn from professional Teaching Artists in each discipline, and will be introduced to materials, tools, processes, analysis, and equipment in an in-depth setting. All sessions are housed at the Hardesty Arts Center in downtown Tulsa’s Brady Arts District.

Session dates are June 8-12, June 15-19, July 6-10, and July 13-17, 2015.  All sessions last from 9:00am – 4:00pm with a lunch break.  Standard rate tuition is $250 per session, but applications received by April 19 receive a $50 discount on tuition.  Eligible students may apply for a limited number of scholarships to Summer Arts Academy.
