Combining modernity and comfort the hotel has recently undergone extensive refurbishment of public areas to create a stylish environment in ArtBar and the award winning Allium Restaurant headed up by Chris Staines. Bedrooms offer comfortable, stylish interiors, luxurious bespoke Hypnos beds, superfast free wifi and premium amenities; every detail is considered to enhance the guest experience.

Designed for a room-based tablet, iRiS Guest Valet is an interactive application that replaces the traditional guest welcome pack with up-to-date, live destination information. The app enables guests to purchase in-room dining, book transportation and sightseeing tours, access local maps and newspapers, book restaurant reservations and enjoy Bath’s famous spas.

About the Abbey Hotel:

The Abbey Hotel Bath, privately owned by Ian and Christa Taylor since January 2012, 60-bedroom hotel comprising 3 Georgian Houses in the heart of the city.

Allium restaurant established under the Taylors and headed up by Chris Staines, formerly Michelin-starred Head Chef at Foliage at the Mandarin Oriental, London, has brought a new style of cuisine to the city.  Seating 70 guests and offering space for private dining and events, the outside terrace area was developed in 2012 to create one of the most elegant outside dining spaces in Bath and is popular with residents and diners.

In 2013 the lounge area was refurbished to create Artbar, a contemporary space that operates from morning to midnight ranging providing service for morning coffee, afternoon tea, light snacks through the day and a cocktail bar ambience in the evening.

Extensive work has also been undertaken to improve the fabric of the building, this includes repair to stonework and a plant and maintenance overhaul and further refurbishment of the public areas has taken place this year to create a stylish, contemporary and luxurious ambience.
