DAVENPORT, Fla. - March 9, 2015 - PRLog -- As a world-class destination, Orlando already attracts more than its fair share of celebrities, film stars and pop icons thanks to its famous theme parks, sunshine, shops and sports facilities.

But from May, there will be a host of lifelike A-Listers on display when the new Madame Tussauds, the world’s top celebrity wax attraction, opens at International Drive.

Madame Tussauds – which is being opened on Monday 4 May along with the Orlando Eye and SEA LIFE Aquarium at the at I-Drive 360 – features detailed and lifelike wax figures of most influential celebrity and historical figures.

The famous attraction features four figures seen for the first time in North America, actors Ryan Gosling and Neil Patrick Harris, singer Ricky Martin and Florida football hero, Dan Marino.

To show how much attention is paid to each figure, the Madame Tussauds worked for more than 800 hours to make the Ryan Gosling figure and the hair alone took 140 hours to create.

All three attractions are owned by Merlin Entertainments, which also is behind the popular Legoland Florida theme park that itself is opening the new Legoland Florida hotel on Friday 15 May.

But Orlando is not just for the rich and famous. The home of Walt Disney World and Universal Studios attracts record numbers of visitors each year and is hoping to break the 100million mark this year.

The area’s real estate in is strong demand from buyers looking for vacation properties, buy-to-let homes and investment options in all price brackets and values have risen for the past 43 months.
