About the Author: Benjamin C. Godfrey is a retired music educator who has had a lifelong interest in the profound. He teaches philosophy to senior citizens at the Furman University Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in Greenville, South Carolina. He credits his motivation for writing Wisdom for a New Era to what Albert Einstein described as the “mystic emotion,” which isa religious awe of the universe through the eyes of a scientist. Yet, with the same sense of awe that Einstein felt while watching Yehudi Menuhin perform as a 13-year-old with the Israel Symphony, or that is available to anyone. It is the emotion that can be experienced by anyone in any awe-inspiring moment.
