SAN ANTONIO - March 5, 2015 - PRLog -- Free Trade Alliance San Antonio’s International Business Development Center (IBDC) is pleased to welcome Stratocom Solutions, North America’s leader in airborne data collection.

In 2011, Stratocom Solutions created a breakthrough airborne platform that captures data from utility meters. The firm is able to access the functionality of gas, electric, and water meters while providing a greener footprint. “Our service has been incredibly successful for our customers. Stratocom Solutions has a 99% accuracy rate, can easily access rural and urban areas, and is able to read up to 50,000 meters per hour in any type of commercial weather,” said Leo Dion, Business and Corporate Development Manager at Stratocom Solutions.

Stratocom Solutions is able to collect data in both densely populated urban areas and sparsely populated rural areas in a cost effective manner. “Our customers are shocked by how much money they are able to save when they switch to our system,” said John Armstrong, Manager, Foothills Natural Gas Co-op Ltd. “Not only can our airborne platform read AMI and AMR meters without a smart grid, we can update our customers’ existing meters, that are not AMI and AMR, to work with our platform for a low cost.” The time and money that Stratocom Solutions’ customers save continues to be the pillar of the firm’s success.

Stratocom Solutions currently operates in Alberta and British Columbia, Canada. The firm recently opened its second head office in San Antonio, Texas. Stratocom Solutions is taking advantage of the energy reform underway south of the Canadian border. “This is one of the reasons that Free Trade Alliance San Antonio is an ideal solution for us. It has great connection across the US and in Mexico--the two countries that we want to target over the next few years,” states Charlie Moke, Business Development-Customer Relations Manager at Stratocom Solutions.

Jose E. Martinez, President and CEO of Free Trade Alliance San Antonio, states that he is, “very excited to welcome Stratocom Solutions, the first Canadian-born company in the IBDC program. This is long overdue given that NAFTA was signed just over 20 years ago. The Alliance has worked hard over the past 20 years to develop strong connections in Mexico and now we’re looking to explore other markets. Canada is an obvious choice.”

He noted that the service Stratocom Solutions has to offer is green technology that has the potential to realize great efficiencies and savings.

The IBDC provides support to foreign companies seeking to establish or expand into the United States by providing office facilities, training, business counseling, and a series of value-added services. The IBDC reduces startup costs and provides access to shared resources and useful services at little to no cost.
