Ben Butler Joins REAN Cloud as Vice President, Business Development

HERNDON, Va. - March 5, 2015 - PRLog -- We are pleased to announce that Ben Butler has joined REAN Cloud as the Vice President of Business Development.  Prior to REAN Cloud, Ben was the Global Senior Marketing Manager for Big Data and High Performance Computing solutions at Amazon Web Services. During his tenure with AWS, Ben executed on Amazon's strategy of building broad use of cloud computing web services for big data, HPC, and Internet of Things workloads through speaking events, customer and partner engagements, marketing campaigns, sales enablement tools, and training seminars.  Ben has a passion for helping organizations of all sizes drive innovation into their products and processes by using the AWS cloud to manage their data at any scale.

Previously at AWS, Ben was a Solutions Architect in the World Wide Public Sector team supporting customers with big data projects such as the NIH, SEC, FINRA, and the Department of Health and Human Services.  He also was a certified trainer for the AWS Architecture and Systems Operations courses and helped develop the initial AWS solutions architecture associate level certification exam.

Ben holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, a MS in Management Information Systems from Bowie State University, and a BS in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia. Ben has a wife, Kimberly, and one son, Ben Jr. and lives in Leesburg.
