Craft Beer: Boise’s Newest Craft Brewery- Powderhaus Brewing Company Announces Ground Breaking

BOISE, Idaho - March 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Powderhaus Brewing Company broke ground on their 8000+sf production facility and Tap Haus in Garden City, Idaho, on 9 February 2015. As of today, there is more than just some earth moved; the foundation is now poking above the earth at 9719 W Chinden Blvd., near the corner of Maple Grove and Chinden Blvd.

Powderhaus, an alpine inspired brand, is working toward an early summer release of their first craft brews.  They are the latest entry into the growing craft beer industry, in the Boise Metro Area and the first “new” brewery, to design and build its facility from the ground up. Vaughn Pruett, of Pruett Construction, Boise, Idaho, has been entrusted with the task of getting the facility up and ready to brew within the next two months.

Brewers Tyler Schmidt and Tyson Cardon are keeping busy during construction with research and development of recipes for their initial offerings. Expect world class traditional beer styles as the standard fare at The Haus.

Powderhaus Brewing Company is a local family owned business. Owners, Lt General Mark Schmidt (USAF retired) and wife, Lisa, are already local business owners, who decided to build a family business around son, Tyler and business partner Tyson’s passion and talent for brewing.
