UNDER the Petite Fashion Show Returns for a Third Year

BALTIMORE - March 4, 2015 - PRLog -- March 28, 2015, marks the 3^rd annual petite focused fashion event UNDER.  UNDER will be hosted at the FPSC in Baltimore, Maryland.  Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the show will begin at 6:05 p.m.  UNDER is a runway fashion show for designers who produce petite garments.

Many know that the fashion industry portrays on the runway a strong directional influence towards regular looks, sizes, and heights.  In most fashion shows the looks include sizes ranging from 0 to 6, but focus on models who stand at a runway standard height of 5; 10” or taller.

UNDER is an event that dually re-directs and engages the regular fashion community along-side the petite fashion community.  Research has shown that petite consumers spend an equivalent of over $10 Billion dollars a year in fashion merchandise alone.

For its 3^rd annual event, the Fashion Umbrella Foundation will present designers from Maryland and Chicago.  These looks will be showcased with the best petite models in the DMV area who were personally selected by the Executive Producer.  All of the models participating in UNDER stand at a barefoot height of 5’ 7” or shorter.

UNDER is currently seeking the assistance of volunteers to help with the production needs of this event.  The production team is currently looking for individuals in the category of designer assistant, guest greeters, front-of-house, registration, make-up artists, and hair stylists.  Interested volunteers can complete the registration online by visiting www.undertheevent.com/registration.
