By: Adelphi University Currently a resident of Huntington, Long Island, Klein has distinguished himself as a dynamic and compelling performer with his command of a wide range of tonal colors and imaginative interpretations. The New York Times declared him, “A fascinating artist with all the indispensable qualities: temperament, taste, touch, tone. The four T’s of pianism.” His career as orchestra soloist and recitalist has taken him to some of the world’s most prestigious venues – from London’s Wigmore Hall, Berlin’s Philharmonic Hall, New York’s Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall to Washington, D.C.’s Kennedy Center. He has gained critical acclaim for his performances in major cities, including Berlin, Rome, Milan, Bern, Leipzig, Dresden, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Cleveland and Mexico City. Five-time Grammy-nominee, Cannes Classical Award nominee, recipient of more than thirty Rosettes from the 'Penguin Guide to Compact Discs', and winner of the Onassis Prize and Australian National Critics 'Best Conductor' Award, Christopher Lyndon-Gee has specially devised this program to bring together three of Beethoven's greatest works all heard for the first time in the same concert in 1807. Completing the program are the Coriolan Overture, dedicated to poet Heinrich von Collin's radical reinterpretation of Shakespeare's Coriolanus; while the energy and vivacity of Beethoven's magnificent Fourth Symphony completes a superb evening of orchestral music at its most visionary.
