WOORE, U.K. - March 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Award winning Cheshire builder Jim Hadfield is celebrating a quarter of a century in an industry that has dubbed him ‘the dream maker’ in recognition of the ultra creative approach that enables him to achieve the challenges that clients set for him.

Jim, Managing Director of A J Field Developments, will be marking the professional milestone by popping a celebratory bottle of bubbles with colleagues and family at his Woore HQ, before getting back to the projects that clients bring to him from far and wide.

“I’ve enjoyed an interesting career but I won’t be spending too much time celebrating as client projects come first and we are blessed with a range of work that is keeping us gainfully occupied ,” said Jim whose creations have included an ‘upside down house’, a ‘Footballer’s Wife’ style project and the restoration of a grand and historic building.

“The upside-down house was a project where the client wanted the bedrooms downstairs and an open plan living area above to maximise the stunning views , while the stylish Cheshire project was the restoration of a listed property with  a swimming pool, cinema, playroom and go-cart track,” explained the 43 years old businessman.

Other notable building projects include a new prison at Fazakerley, a press hall for the Stoke Sentinal newspaper, a multi-storey Inland Revenue HQ and the creation of a new shopping complex above a live retail centre.

Raised in Church Minshull Jim achieved an HND in Building Studies at Sir John Moores University in Liverpool before studying for a degree in Construction Management at the University of the West of England in Bristol.

His first job was as a trainee site engineer with a major building company working on warehouses and a hotel. He later took a position as Site Engineer with a London based Construction Company working on a prestigious multi-million pound hotel and apartments project in Kensington.

*In fact in the following years he worked in a wide variety of senior positions with a number of high profile building concerns giving him a unique level of experience in his chosen profession.  Then in 2001 Jim set up A J Field so he could bring his own exacting standards to the building trade.

“Running your own business brings with it significant responsibilities but also enables you to experience the satisfaction of working on a project then seeing your building every time you drive by, leaving you proud that you and your team built it.

“I am also grateful for the opportunity to have worked on some historic and grand properties knowing that our work has brought new life to a building that will enable it to be appreciated for many years to come.”

Jim is also grateful that he has survived two recessions and is convinced that is due to his company’s work ethic and his reputation in Cheshire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.

In fact his professionalism has been recognised by the Federation of Master Builders. He was the regional winner of the Large Renovations awards.
