Jim Hanks And Bianca Santos To Star In New Comedy Directed by Steve Welch

LOS ANGELES - March 2, 2015 - PRLog -- A hilarious new comedy from writer Dianna Ippolito, to be produced by Dianna Ippolito & Yumee Jang

Hollywood, CA (March 2, 2015) – Jim Hanks and Bianca Santos will star, and Emmy Award® winner Steve Welch (“New Girl,” “Malcolm in the Middle”) will direct a classic re-telling of the Pygmalion tale by writer Dianna Ippolito (“Racing to the Altar,” “Dear Jane”) to be produced by Dianna Ippolito and Yumee Jang (“Bandito,” “The Boost”), who developed the project, alongside Welch.  Welch’s editing credits include TNT’s “Men of a Certain Age” and HBO’s “Tenacious D”. Presently, Welch is at work on the final stretch of season four of “New Girl,” starring Zooey Deschanel,  Hannah Simone and created by Liz Meriwether.

Ippolito and Jang are also partnered on the coming-of-age comedy/drama “Racing to the Altar,” set in the 1960s, and based on the night hundreds of couples fled to Las Vegas to get married in order to beat the Vietnam Draft. Director Griffin Dunne is attached to direct.
