Follow on Google News | Walk to Save Lives at Animals on Broadway May 17ARF’s free community pet festival goes OFF Broadway at Heather Farm Park
The event kicks off with the one-mile fundraising Pet Walk, where hundreds of people and pets will walk to raise awareness and critical funds. This year, ARF is counting on your help to reach a $85,000 goal to save the lives of homeless dogs and cats. It’s easy to register online and create a personalized fundraising webpage to collect donations in support of your pet walk, or form a “pack” of walkers to raise money as a team. Register today and find full event details at www.arflife.org. Following the walk, fun activities for animal lovers take over the park. Bring the whole family for adoptions, rescue groups, vendor booths, contests, demonstrations, raffle prizes, and a dog wash. The Kid Zone is full of pet-themed activities and games, and the popular Pet Wellness Fair offers an assortment of veterinary services for a small donation. All are welcome to join the fun – with or without their furry best friend! Support this great community event by donating an item for drawings and giveaways to promote your business! For sponsorship opportunities, contact Kathleen Huls at (925) 296-3118. For information on booth rentals for pet-related businesses or organizations, visit www.arflife.org. ARF’s core mission is the rescue of dogs and cats who have run out of time at public shelters, giving them a chance at life until a new home can be found. ARF couples this focus with innovative programs strengthening the human-animal bond for children, seniors, veterans, and people in disadvantaged circumstances. Through ARF, people experience the unconditional love and acceptance of dogs and cats to fulfill a mission of “People Rescuing Animals…Animals Rescuing People…”® End
