March 2, 2015 - PRLog -- Neighbrhds (http://www.neighbrhds.com) has released more than 60 localized apps since launching in the fall of 2014. The Neighbrhds apps, designed to highlight the unique aspects of communities, in real time, are the result of collaboration between a trio of Silicon Valley vets who saw an opportunity to connect people with their neighborhoods.  Each app is continually updated giving the user access to instantly relevant, streamlined local content 24 hours a day.

“Everyone is connected globally through social media today. You know what your high school classmates are doing but have no idea what events are happening in your town over the weekend,” says Bill Fishkin, CEO of Neighbrhds on the reasons behind the App’s creation.

Each Neighbrhds app includes a curated community social feed, complete with Facebook, Twitter and Instagram updates from local businesses and organizations, as well as a handpicked list of the top local restaurants, bars, shopping and coffee shops, creating a robust community experience. The apps are available on both iOS and Android.

Neighbrhds partners with leading local real estate companies in each community as both a revenue stream and as content partners. In San Francisco, Zephyr Realty was their launch partner and allowed for additional insight into the local San Francisco neighborhoods while also providing local real estate listings within the apps themselves.

“By utilizing Zephyr’s real estate expertise, along with our neighborhood-specific research, we provide users with valuable information while greatly enhancing the user experience,” added Fishkin.

Currently, apps are available for the San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle and Las Vegas areas along with Maryland (Annapolis, Mt. Vernon), Florida (Boca Raton, Delray), Hawaii (Kona), New Jersey (Coventry and Livingston), Missouri (Kansas City), Chico, CA and Martha’s Vineyard.

Neighbrhds is continually developing new neighborhood apps and upcoming territories including New York, Illinois and Texas and will have a total of 400 local apps available nationwide by the end of 2015.
