Follow on Google News | ![]() Medals and Merits for Ayla Culinary Team at the Emirates Salon CulinaireBy: Ayla Hotels and Resorts Charidu Tharaka Samarasinha, Commis III, won a Bronze Medal for the category of “Five-Course Gourmet Dinner Menu”, Thusanjaya Nirmal, Commis III, also won a Bronze Medal for the category of “Four-Course Vegetarian Menu”, while Binu Sasi, Senior Chef De Partie, and Buddika Samarakoon, Commis I, were both awarded Merits for the categories of “Cake Decoration Practical” and “Four Course Vegetarian Menu” respectively. Mr. Mohamed Soussan, Group General Manager of Ayla Hotels & Resorts, said “We are immensely proud of our team for bringing their merits and awards home to Ayla again. They put in a lot of effort in preparation for this event, competing against other culinary experts from all over the country.” The Emirates Salon Culinaire (ESC) is a series of culinary competitions that test practical demonstration and presentations of various categories of culinary items and menus. It is run in conjunction with the annual Gulf Food Hotel and Equipment Exhibition. Ayla Hotel Al-AIn is part of the Ayla Hotels & Resorts group established in 2010.
