Charlotte Chiropractor sponsoring Carolina For The Kids

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Feb. 28, 2015 - PRLog -- In 2015, ChiroCarolina® will be sponsoring events with Carolina For The Kids, which was formerly known as Dance Marathon. It is another effort by the doctors of Charlotte's top chiropractors, ChiroCarolina®, to give back to the community.

Carolina For The Kids is the largest student-led and student-run organization in North Carolina and one of the largest recurring donors to UNC Children's. Funds raised by CFTK benefit the patients and families of UNC Children's in the form of grants that cover needs not met by insurance, as well as our newly announced $2.5 million pledge to fund the design and construction of an off-campus pediatric clinic.

Since the founding in 1998, over 10,000 students have volunteered their time to further the mission. Year-long fundraising efforts culminate in a 24-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping Dance Marathon held in March on the campus of UNC-Chapel Hill.

Each year, 2,000 students pledge to remain on their feet for 24 hours to show their support for our cause. During the year, the 13 committees organize fundraising events and volunteer opportunities for those involved. They also work with dozens of community partners to broaden their reach in North Carolina. According to the team, they find inspiration in the children, families, physicians, and other hospital staff who support us year-round and share their stories.
