Expo Freight (EFL) honoured at the National Business Excellence Awards

Feb. 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Expo Freight (EFL) was crowned Silver for Shipping and Related services at the National Business Excellence Awards. This event is organized by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) with a view of recognizing the business enterprises, which have demonstrated excellence in business while contributing to the economic progress of the country.


Having commenced in 2004 as NBEA 2004 the National Business Excellence Awards have recognized the top class business which excelled in their performance every year.

Mr. Jagath Pathirane, CEO, Expo Freight (EFL) said, “EFL has been in the forefront of Sri Lanka’s Freight & Logistics industry for decades and we are elated to be recognized for Business Excellence at such an esteemed occasion. We owe this success to our 1,200 plus staff and our loyal customers”.


Applications were evaluated on the basis of an 8-point criterion and reviewed and evaluated in a three-stage process – Desk Review, Interviews and Judges' Final Review. The criterion covers Business & Financial Performance, Global Reach, Knowledge Integration, Technological Investment, Capacity Building, Performance Management, Corporate Governance & Corporate Social Responsibility. The Panel of Judges made their final selection of the awardees after a careful review of all preliminary evaluation reports and the interviews.
