The Drake Oak Brook To Host Miss Illinois Latina
With its more than 50 year history, The Drake Oak Brook has been a landmark of elegance and has been home to countless events. Purchased in 2013 by Jim and Tely Nagle, The Drake Oak Brook is being restored to its original glory. The elegant hotel will open its doors soon to the general public later this year and the Miss Illinois Latina pageant has the privilege of being among one of the first events to be held since the renovation.
“My husband and I are so pleased to be hosting this year’s Miss Illinois Latina beauty pageant”, stated Tely Nagle. “The fact that I am a Latin woman, I am particularly honored to have the event at our newly remodeled Drake Oak Brook Hotel.” Jim Nagle added, “The Miss Illinois Latina pageant is exactly the type of event my wife and I envisioned hosting when we were first reconstructing the Drake.”
This month, Candi Sanchez, Miss Illinois Latina 2015 and Julissa Unzueta, Miss Teen Illinois Latina 2015 were given a first look of the impressive property and the Nagles were gracious hosts to a photo shoot to announce this exciting news.
Later this year, delegates for the Miss Illinois Latina pageant will be treated to a weekend full of activities at The Drake Oak Brook Hotel. Preliminaries and final coronation ceremonies will also be held at The Drake this fall. To find out more about all of the exciting happenings at The Drake Oak Brook, visit www.TheDrakeResort.com.
