Coaster Pedicab Unveils the Next Generation of Human-Powered Bicycle Taxis
By: Coaster Pedicab
“We have taken more than two years to research, engineer, and truly reinvent the pedicab,” says Ben Morris, Chief Pedicab Officer of Coaster Pedicab. “We’ve added features that the pedicab industry has never seen before and we’re excited for professional drivers, passengers, and cycling enthusiasts to experience this specially-designed equipment.”
After nearly a decade as the country’s largest owner and operator, Morris and his team became frustrated by frequent pedicab breakdowns and lack of equipment options. With the wealth of collective feedback from their mechanics, professional drivers, passengers and the management team, the company began developing the next generation pedicab.
“The pedicab industry has evolved quite a bit in the last 10 years, and unfortunately, the actual pedicabs have not kept up with the evolution of the industry,” says Justin Bruce, Chief Operating Officer of Coaster Pedicab. “We’ve spent years creating a pedicab that will meet the needs of current pedicab operators around the world and think the technology behind The Coaster will help usher in the future of the industry.”
Coaster Pedicab teamed up with renowned engineering firm, Design Concepts for the initial concept redesign. Production began afterwards in Montana, at Lightfoot Cycles, where the first models have been completed and are now ready for distribution.
The Coaster is available in three models:
Coaster Pedicab Sport
Coaster Pedicab Pro
Coaster Pedicab Luxe
